Amalaki Ekadashi 2030 Date
Amalaki Ekadashi is observed on the ekadashi tithi or the 11th day in the Shukla Paksha of Phalguna month every year. The Vrat spans from the evening of the Dashami Tithi (tenth day) and extends to Dwadashi Tithi (twelfth day) morning. Devotees of Lord Vishnu offer prayers to the Amalaka or Amla tree or the Indian Gooseberry tree on the day of and hence the name Amalaki Ekadashi which usually falls between Maha Shivaratri and Holi. It is believed that the divine powers of the universe comes up in the Amla tree on this day. And by worshipping Amla tree on Shukla Paksha Ekadashi tithi of the Phalguna month, one gets blessed by Lord Vishnu. It is also believed that Devi Lakshmi (Lord Vishnu's consort and the Goddess of wealth) also resides in the Amla tree on this day. Devotees offer their prayers to the Amalaka tree to seek Lord Krishna and Radha's blessings at some places.
