Radha Kund Snan 2023
Radha Kunda Snan is a holy dip at Radha Kund near the Govardhan Parvat (the hill that was lifted by Sri Krishna on his little finger) that falls on Krishna Paksha Ashtami of Kartik month as per Purnimant calendar followed in North Indian. On Ahoi Ashami, thousands of Radha Krishna devotees who don't have a child visit Radha Kund to seek blessings of Radha Rani and Sri Krishna. This day of Ahoi Ashtami is considered very significant for childless couples as it is believed that bathing in Radha Kund on this day of Ahoi Ashtami will give blessings of Radha Rani to the couples and they will be able to conceive a child. That is why every year thousands of couples visit Govardhan and take a holy dip together in Radha Kund.
The time that is considered significant for the holy dip at Radha Kunda is the midnight time also known as Nishita time. Thus bathing starts during midnight and continues throughout the night until morning. The couples perform Puja after standing in the water tank and offer Kushmanda decorated with red cloth, white raw pumpkin also called as Petha to Radha Rani to seek her blessings for conceiving.
Shyama Kund and Radha Kund both are situated adjacent to each other and they resemble the eyes of the peacock.

Devotees who take bath in the holy waters of Radha Kund on the very day of Ahoi Ashtami is considered highly auspicious. Married childless couples seek the divine blessings of Radharani. It is believed that by taking a bath or dip in the Radha Kund on the special day of Ahoi Ashtami, the couples get blessed with a child. That is why hundreds of couples visit Radha Kund every year and take a holy dip in it, which is famously known as Radha Kund Snan.
Couples who have been blessed with a child also revisit the RadhaKund at Govardhan, Mathura, to pay respect and offer thanks to Goddess Radha Rani.
