Narmada Jayanti celebrates the birth or the appearance of the Narmada river on the earth and occurs on Shukla Paksha Saptami tithi in Magha month as per Hindu calendar. Narmada Mata or river Narmada is worshipped on this day that brings peace and prosperity in their life and is believed that by taking a dip in Narmade like a dip in river Ganga, a person gets freedom from all sins.
