Dasami Shraddha, the tenth day of Pitru Paksh, falls on Dashami day in Marathi, Gujarati, Telugu, and Kannada Panchangams, and in Ashwin month in Hindi calendars. Hindus observe the Pitru Paksha to pay honor to ancestors and to pray for departed family members.
