Balarama Jayanti 2027 Date

The elder brother of Lord Krishna, Lord Balarama is worshipped as 8th incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Balarama Jayanti is the birth anniversary of Lord Balarama. In some regions of India, Balarama Jayanti is celebrated on the day of Akshaya Tritiya while in various other regions, Balarama Jayanti is celebrated on the Shravan Purnima day. Some celebrate it in the month of Vaisakh which falls either in April or May.

Lord Balarama is also worshipped as an Avatar of Adishesha, the serpent on which Lord Vishnu rests. He was very powerful because of which he killed Asura Dhenuka, the giant demon.
